My name is Nate Derring and I am the owner of Black Rock Auto Sales In Pleasant View, Utah. I am not the typical car dealer. I bought cars long before I sold them and my story starts off with a terrible experience at a local car dealership where I felt cheated and ripped off. I wanted to understand how this could happen to me and why I wasn’t valued as a customer to that dealer. I decided to get into the industry that puzzled me 28 years ago and basically told myself to do the exact opposite of what I was seeing go on in most dealerships once I learned that “People don’t buy from dealerships, they buy from people… especially those they trust.”

Fast forward to today….. I’ve been doing things the right way, treating clients with respect and showing transparency, while educating them with information I’ve learned from almost 30 years in this industry. I don’t require you to buy something off the lot in a color you didn’t choose. 85% of my business is hunting for that specific vehicle in the perfect color you’ve been after. For me, this business is about building relationships and long lasting friendships. Some of my clients have purchased over 20+ cars from me over the years. Usually once I’ve earned someone’s business I have earned it for life.
